Vegan Red Velvet Waffles



"How to Make Delicious Vegan Red Velvet Waffles at Home "Vegan"


                                  Ingredients



  • 2 1/2 cups almond milk

  • 1 1/2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  • 6 tablespoon aquafaba

  • 1 1/4 cup spelt flour

  • 1 1/2 cup pastry flour

  • 1/3 cup arrow root powder or tapioca starch

  • 2 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 2 tablespoons baking powder

  • 2 tablespoon beet powder

  • 2 tablespoons unrefined cane sugar

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pink salt

  • 2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 1/3 cup avocado oil

  • 1 tablespoon blue agave or 2 tablespoons maple syrup

Cream cheese frosting


  •     2 cups powder sugar

  • 4 oz vegan cream cheese

  • 1/4 cup vegan butter

  • 1-2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 cup almond milk



                                                                Directions

  1. Add almond milk and apple cider milk in a small bowl set aside for 15 mins this will make your vegan buttermilk.

  2.  Next add dry mixture to a large bowl including flour, salt, baking powder, cocoa powder, beet powder and cane sugar whisk to well blended

  3. Now slowly feed in your buttermilk mixture to dry ingredients

  4. Now add your aquafaba as your egg replacement and your vanilla extract, and blue agave

  5. Once blended add to waffle iron and serve. Waffles should be crispy on the outside but soft moist and fluffy on the inside.

  6. Add powder sugar, cream cheese, vegan butter, vanilla extract and milk to a small bowl and blend.
